In comparison with other champagne houses Jacquart is fairly young. Beginning in 1964, their first vintage was released in 1983. They focus on the three main champagne growing vines, with special consideration for chardonnay. Beginning in 2010 Jacquart created a speciality department that focused on sustainable efforts in the co-op of vineyards of the area. They later gained their sustainability certification and are in the process of ensuring each vineyard they harvest from is organically certified. The mosaique blend was initially released in 1992 and has remained one of their most popular wines. The blend goes through an alcoholic fermentation in temperature controlled tanks and is then aged for a minimum of 3 years on lees before being transferred to the bottle and aged for a further 3 months.
On the nose this sparkling offers notes of white pear, lighter fruits, and dried florals. On the palate its beautifully creamy and elegant with flavors of white fruits and light lemon. Best served chilled.
