Growing up surfing in Southern California, Crystal Cove was a special spot for locals.

Lifeguard Tower 11 was iconic and one of my favorites because that was the number I wore on the baseball field as well. It will always be a landmark of my childhood and a place that I hold dear. The California coastline informed so much of the person that Ive become. This spot was my absolute sanctuary. It wasnt just a beach, it was my escape. My solitude.
