On the west coast of the Fijian Island of Viti Levu lies the township of Lautoka and the RUM Co. of Fiji Distillery. A distillery producing rum as a craft, carried out by hand, and following time-honoured traditions since 1980. The Fijian Islands are renowned for their pure water, nourishing the sugarcane growing in rich volcanic soil at the base of The Sleeping Giant Mountain. The hand-cut sugarcane is distilled into rum, thenfiltered through coconut shell carbon to capture the pure taste of Fiji. Aged for 5 years in charred oak barrels, our award-winning RATU Spiced Rum has a complex charred oak and citrus aroma with a rich vanilla and candied orange flavour that combines with the warmth of cinnamon and star anise. Recently awarded a Gold medal in the 2021 Bartender Spirits Awards and SIP Consumer Awards in the USA and Rum of the Year in the 2018 London Spirits Competition.
