2024 Vernal Dichotomous from Jester King is a representation of what it is about spring that inspires them each year. Where that inspiration came from this year is best shown in the brief recantation one of their longtime brewers, Marc, wrote:

“Farmhouse cream ale brewed with blue corn, juniper, lime, and toasted coconut. The inspiration is as follows. Whenever we use juniper in wort/beer like Viridium, it always smells a little like coconut to me with a botanical vibe. So I decided to play off of that with an old test batch and made a tea with juniper, and I added some toasted coconut to get some coconut flavor along with my perceived juniper/coconut aromatics. Then I decided to add some lime leaf and zest (I will have to look at my notes.) Thus, the beer became a sort of a refreshing tropical margarita with ginny botanicals of sorts, or one of those fancy Spanish gin and tonics…” -Marc Nelipovich
