The dominant lead of Syrah combined with the oak-ageing accentuates farmyard and old, well-worked-leather tones, taking the wine down a much more savoury track than the Carra 2021. Dried fruit. The tannins are more powerful, more astringent and the wine feels as if there is a bit more alcoholic heat. Powerful and impressive… Drink to 2030.”
