Today the vineyard of Chteau Lvangile is very similar to how it was at the turn of the 19th century when it covered some 13 hectares. Now 22 hectares, this Pomerol vineyard grows on, a rare for the region, sandy and gravel soil. Bordered in the north by Chteau Ptrus and close to Chteau Cheval Blanc in the south, the vineyards are planted with around 80% Merlot. Blason de l’Evangile is the second wine of Chteau Lvangile, it is dense in colour with notes of mocha, raspberry and morello cherry. Subtle and smooth it also displays power and intensity.
