Blazing red and precipitously steep, the rziger Wrzgarten vineyard forms a massive amphitheater of Rotliegendes (a red, volcanic sandstone) and red slate that is unlike any other site in the Mosel region. Although it lies immediately upstream from the vineyards of Erden, rziger Wrzgarten produces an entirely different expression of Riesling, with great depth, tantalizing exotic fruits and spicy aromas.
