Grape Varietals & Region:A blend of 78% Syrah, 12% Grenache, 7% Carignan, and 3% Cinsault from Swartland, South Africa. The Syrah grows on mostly shale, while the Grenache on sand.
Taste Profile:The wine shows a very perfumed purple fruit on the nose which also leads the palate. The concentration and density of the Syrah is balanced by the delicate and fruit forward Grenache. Soft and textured with loads of fruit, spice and a mineral finish
Winemaking Process:The fruit is fermented whole bunch, and fermentation occurs spontaneously with twice daily stirring in a mixture of oak and concrete. The wine matures for 10 months before being bottled & undergoes another 18 months of bottle ageing
