Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Tempranillo from vineyards located in Moradillo de Roa of Ribera Del Duero, Spain. The vineyards are 20 to 60 years-old vineyards, located at 800 to 950 meters over the sea level. Extremely limestone with a slight slope. Very poor in its fertile horizons and with a very fragile texture in depth to favour root penetration.
Taste Profile: Aromas of spice and blackberry meld with a touch of game on the nose. The palate feels tightly coiled in similar tones alongside vanilla, while the finish brings a kick of toasty oak. It is dense, deep and complex, brimming with fruit and balsam notes as well as noticeable minerality. It boasts round texture and a broad, lingering and balanced volume.
Winemaking Process: The wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation in concrete tanks, before being transferred to oak for maturation. Twelve months in French and American oak with subsequent refinement in the bottle for 24 months
