Bodegas Care Tinto Sobre Lias 2023 Magnum

Over 200 years ago, an ancient Roman settlement called CARE made the first grape juices in Aragon. The city of Carinena today, sits on the same land as this Roman settlement, upon which is the origin of Garnacha. Located in Carinena DO, Bodegas Care was setup in 2000 by the Aragonese families Daz and Lzaro, who came together to produce contemporary Mediterranean wines. In 2003, they released their first wine, Finca Bancales

Grape Varietals & Region:A blend of 75% Grenache 25% Syrah from Carinena in Aragon, Spain. D.O.P. Cariena, North-east of Spain. Altitudefrom 600 to 800 meters, Continental Mediterranean climate, scarce rainfall below250 liters, cold and dry wind called Cierzo.Rocky and poor soils.

Taste Profile:Intense black cherry colour with layers of violet tones resulting in a wine with an attractive appearance. Complex nose with fragrant and ripe red and black fruit. On the palate the wines shows powerful fruit, which is perfectly balanced, full and intense. Long finish.

Winemaking Process:After alcoholic fermentation, the wine remains macerated with the skins for 15 days. The malolactic fermentation takes place in tanks. The wine is then aged for 2 months in French oak barrels
