Employing natural-yeast fermentations, Lauers wines find their own balance. They tend to be more textural, deeper and more broad-shouldered. Yet they have a preternatural sense of balance, an energy that is singular. Yet the hallmarks of the Saar are there: purity, precision, rigor, mineral.

Taste Profile:Lauers Schonfels GG Fass 11 is deep, intense and pure on the still yeasty nose that exhibits ripe fruit intertwined with herbal/floral and stony aromas. Crystalline and lean on the palate and with enormous length, this is a pure and refined, vegetal-flavored dry Riesling with remarkable finesse and tension. More classic maybe than the richer van Volxem.
