Bellavista Franciacorta Alma Assemblage 1 Extra Brut NV

This is a refreshing sparkler that absolutely hits the spot! Franciacorta is aregional sparkling wine from northern Italy. Made in several styles, using the same method and grapes as Champagne, with the addition of Pinot Blanc.

Grape Varietals & Region: The blend for ‘Alma’ consists of 88% Chardonnay, 11% Pinot Nero and 1% Pinot Blanc, coming from the Bellavista Hills of Franciacorta, Lombardy, Italy.

Taste Profile: Pale yellow colour with green tints. Ripe stone fruits, fresh white flowers and vanilla pastry aromas waft from the glass. Fresh, vibrant and mineral in the mouth with a lively and persistent fizz. Long, harmonious finish.

Winemaking Process: Elegantly crafted in the traditional method (aka Champagne method) from more than 100 parcels of grapes, all picked and vinified separately then blended together in the perfect cuve. This cuve embodies the quintessence of Franciacorta and the ideal harmony behind every Bellavista Franciacorta Method wine.

15% of the wines used in the blend are fermented and then matured for 7 months in small oak barrels. These wines are then blended with reserve wines, which come earlier vintages. Once blended, the wine is bottled and left to age on lees for 2 and a half years before release. The contribution of the reserve wines ensures Bellavistas consistent, signature style in every bottle.
