Orpheus & The Raven Conspiracy of Ravens Pinot Noir 2022

The name draws inspiration from the collective noun for ravens, with the label artfully playing on the twisted nature of the term conspiracy. Three ravens are bound together by a golden threadone around the eyes, one around the ears, and one around the beaksymbolizing the timeless legend of see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. Hidden on each side, two more ravens tug at the same golden thread, deepening the mystery and their silent conspiracy.

Grape Varietals & Region:100% Pinot Noir from the Ceres plateau in South Africa.

Taste Profile:Laden with the berry richness of blueberry, black currant, andwild cherry, it reveals more spicy layers of rhubarb and Szechuanpepper as it evolves in the glass, etched with aromatic notes ofviolets and lavender.Freshly tilled earth and dried porcini add a vivid savoury tone.

Winemaking Process:The grapes were fermented in open top fermenters, after which the wine underwent malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tank. The wine was aged for 7 months in 3rd fill French oak barrels, after which the wine was sent to a a 1600 litre concrete egg to mature for an additional 8 months.
