Grape Varietals & Region:Mainly Viura with a small part of Malvasa de Rioja and Garnacha Blanca. Coming from old bush vines in Rioja, Spain.
The vineyards in the Haro area is made up of small vineyard hills cultivated at all winds. The upper parts of the slopes, highly eroded by centuries of tillage, are very poor and do not adapt well to the Tempranillo variety. Small plots of vines planted in the most eroded soils. The soils are made up of alternating sedimentary rocks of sandstone and limestone marl, and on many occasions the sandstone is clearly visible.
Taste Profile:It has a beautiful straw yellow colour that is reminiscent of wheat fields in summer and speaks of its upbringing. It is very delicate, with good intensity. Little by little it opens and the aromas fill the glass, increasing its presence. Fruits appear, among which grapefruit, quince and white-fleshed peaches stand out. In the palate it is where it becomes larger, you feel the fatty volume, without excesses, the amplitude and the enormous length, with a marked acidity that provides magnificent freshness
Winemaking Process:The fruit is hand sorted, and macerated in French oak vats. Fermentation in French oak vats and bocoys, followed by 18 months of maturation, and an additional 18 months in bottle before release
