In the heart of Lima Valley, Aphros Vineyard is a shining example of dedication to biodynamic practices. Vasco Croft began transforming the property in 2004, focusing on sustainable and biodynamic practices. In the vineyards companion plants are present that help ensure nutrients in the soil remain, nitrogen concentrations remain steady or increase water retainment. On the property there are two cellars. The older cellar on the property is now deem a “medieval” cellar, that opperates completely tech and electricity free with 6 amphorae (very large ceramic jugs) are used to create unique wines. The newer cellar built in 2015 can process all of the harvest from the 13 vineyards and is home to the newest vistors center designed to be a meeting place of culture, art and wine.

A beautiful light straw color this wine offers aromas of delicate flowers and light green fruits and hints of citrus. On the palate a bouquet of minerality, crisp fruits and a vibrant acidity leaves every sip with a lovely long finish. Pairs perfectly with portuguese fishes dishes, sushis, salads and anything fresh.
