Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout
In a skyline filled with towering barrel-aged stouts, the elegant simplicity of Black Tuesday continues to shine the brightest. Roaring notes of crme brle and poached fig are interlaced with hints of malted milk balls and Australian licorice, sparking a decadent, sophisticated fusion fit to claim its own day of the week.
Tasting Notes:Black Tuesday pours a rich jet black with a surprisingly two-finger-thick head for the style. Immediately after pouring, the nose is greeted by notes of bourbon-poached fig and crme brle dancing in the glass alongside a hint of burnt almond. The palate experiences much of the same with a gentle hint of foie gras cotton candy, followed by notes of malted milk balls and stewed raspberries on the mid palate. The finish is long and bold, with notes of Australian-style licorice and cherry wood-smoked shoyu. Open with friends and enjoy.

The first in this years Small-Batch Black Tuesday treatment series, crafted exclusively for our Society members, Conners Cobbler was inspired by a friendly debate and a passion for pastries. This raspberry cobbler-inspired iteration of Black Tuesday was treated with loads of fresh raspberries and Madagascar vanilla beans. The nose is unmistakably Black Tuesday, with warming aromas of brown sugar, caramel, figs, and toffee, with a distinct sharpness from the aroma of overly-ripe raspberries. The palate follows suit with bold notes of molasses, chocolate, and licorice, laced with an enhanced sense of vanilla both from the barrel and the addition of Madagascar vanilla beans, finishing with a subtle berry tartness and the taste of fresh, plump raspberries.
Scoop Scoop Scoop 17.8% ABV [375-ml. Bottle x 1]
Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout with Strawberries, Cacao Nibs, and Madagascar Vanilla Beans
Black Tuesday is the perfect canvas for creativity in liquid form. Scoop Scoop Scoop was inspired by classic Neapolitan ice cream: chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla, swirled together in perfect harmony. Why pick just one flavor when you can have a triple-scoop trip down memory lane? This decadent imperial stout was aged in bourbon barrels then treated with rich cacao nibs, fresh strawberries, and Madagascar vanilla beans for a tasty treat, Black Tuesday style.
Tasting Notes:The fourth and final reveal in this years Small-Batch Black Tuesday treatment series, crafted exclusively for our Society members, is Scoop Scoop Scoop, inspired by the familiar flavors of Neapolitan ice cream. We treated this beer with rich cacao nibs, strawberries, and a hefty scoop of Madagascar vanilla beans. Scoop Scoop Scoop pours a black color with just a tinge of ruby, with notes of strawberry blossoming out of the glass upon first pour, instantly reminiscent of the ice cream inspiration. Perhaps the most impressive thing about this beer is the mouthfeel creamy, and viscous, and absolutely reminiscent of melted ice cream. The palate is met again with strawberries up front, followed by sweet vanilla notes, and a pleasant bitterness at the finish from the addition of cacao nibs. Pour into a glass, or maybe pour over a scoop of ice cream, and definitely share with friends.
