The Schrapel family have been growing grapes in South Australia for over 150 years, and Bethany Wines was founded by fifth generation Geoff and Robert in 1981.
The grapes for this wine come from old Semillon vines on the family’s Barossa estate. It is unoaked, with minimal lees stirring to retain the bright citrus fruit flavours of the grape. Fresh green apples, pears and honey on the nose and palate and long line of soft acidity. Bottle ageing will develop further Semillon complexity.
