BK Wines Pet Nat Chardonnay 2022

BK Wines Pet Nat Chardonnay is so charmingand blissfully uncomplicated (it’s like Champagne minus the fuss and trouble).

Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Chardonnay. The fruit comes from ahigh, steep, organic site in Basket Range North (Adelaide Hills, Australia) that was planted in 1989 to four varieties and has thick sandstone, quartz and red clay soils at 350 meters elevation.

Taste Profile: Beautifully settled and clear with just a dusting of lees at the base of the bottle,this Pt Nat Chardonnay has all of the flowers-and-biscuits character and foamy mousse of a goodblanc de blanc. Proof that there is no shortage of interest and beauty to be found in simplicity.

Winemaking Process: Hand harvesting of the fruit. Whole-bunch pressing to concrete egg fermenters. Wild yeast fermentation until nearly dry.
