Petit Verdot, along with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc is an integral component of some of the worlds greatest red wine. It is rarely seen on its own for reasons that may be related to fashion more than any other wine reason, it is, undoubtedly, a great red wine variety producing wines of outstanding intensity and depth of fruit flavour. Hay Shed Hill has a long tradition of showcasing varieties such as Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot from an outstanding vineyard site in the heart of Margaret River.

COLOUR:Deep blood red of great depth and vibrancy.

NOSE:Intense dark berry aromas; blackcurrant and deep ripe cassis with a peppery hint.

PALATE:An intense and deep palate profile rich in very ripe rich berry fruits, soft and fleshy mid palate and a firm but ripe tannin profile with good extension.
