Steeped in heritage with a wealth of old vine vineyards dating back to 1893, Brands Laira offers a range of opulent and richly flavoured premium wines from this distinct region.Their Blockers Cabernet Sauvignon nose displays classic varietal cassis and blackberry fruits with subtle spice, vanilla and dusty cedar oak notes contributed from barrel fermentation and maturation. On the palate this complex cool climate style displaying rich dark berry fruits with chocolate and vanilla flavours a result of oak maturation. The wine has a long finish with solid fine grained tannin structure and lingering fruit flavours. Drinking beautifully now however will age well with careful cellaring for 10 or more years if you can keep your hands off it that long.
