Romain and Jean-Guillaume Chapuis are brothers based in Ladoix-Serrigny where they make a wide range of low-intervention Burgundy wines. They own parcels in prestigious terroirs such as Savigny, Chorey, Aloxe-Corton, Corton Charlemagne and Bouzeron as well as having access to a wide range of terroirs via their network of trusted growers.
The Chapuis & Chapuis project started in 2009 with the goal of making serious but approachable wines with real drinkability. They have a strong focus on sustainable farming with most of the vineyards being farmed organically
Taste Profile: With exuberant character and moderate body, its fruit-forward style unfolds, with distinct notes of ripe red cherries and succulent raspberries on the palate. It carrie subtle spice, with a touch of earthiness.The wine offers smooth tannins and balanced acidity, with a clean, refreshing finish.
WInemaking Process: Made from hand-harvested grapes, fermented with native yeasts, and aged in tank to preserve fruit purity. No filtration or fining, with no added sulfites, allowing the natural character of the terroir to shine through
