Egon Mller has discovered the potential of wines in the Chteau Bla area in Slovakia and makes a dry Riesling which objective is to challenge the best Rieslings from Austria and the Alsace region. The first vintage was 2001, production volume is around 30 000 bottles per year.
Grape Varietals & Region:100% Riesling from the Egon variant, a specific variant grown by Egon Muller in the Saar region of Germany.
Taste Profile:Ascent of honey, honeycomb, lime, and a large bouquet of linden flowers. Light yellow color. The scent of linden blossom and honey transitions into beautiful tones of fresh citrus. The taste is rich and structured, tropical fruits of various kinds, honey, fine minerality and beautiful, juicy acidity, which is a prerequisite for the longevity of this beautiful Riesling. Fine residual sugar gives the wine a hint of honeycomb and makes it harmonious.
