Bright ruby in color, this sparkling pink wine crafted from 100% Montepulciano grapes is a lively and refreshing expression of Francesco Cirelli’s innovative winemaking. Aromas of strawberry, cherry, rose petal, and cinnamon lead into flavors of cherry, pomegranate, sun-warmed earth, and vibrant citrus acidity, buoyed by a light, consistent fizz. Lingering notes of cinnamon, cherry, and orange zest make each sip an invigorating experience.

Produced using organic and biodynamic farming, the grapes are manually harvested in early September to retain natural acidity and fresh aromatics. A portion of the must is set aside at low temperatures to preserve sweetness, which is later blended with the fermented wine and bottled, creating a slightly cloudy Pet Nat due to the natural second fermentation in the bottle.

Winemaker Francesco Cirelli, based in Abruzzo near the Adriatic Sea, brings his holistic approach to farming, incorporating vineyards, olive trees, and more into a sustainable ecosystem. With minimal intervention and a focus on authenticity, Cirelli crafts wines that he describes as “a magic potion for joy and communion.” This Pink Pet Nat is a pure celebration of his ethos and the vibrant terroir of Abruzzo.
