Comando G Villanueva 2023

Grape Varietals & Region:100% Garnacha from the Cebreros DOP in Castilly y Leon, Spain. The fruit comes from the village of Villanueva, from a vineyard with over 60 year old vines, planted in granitic soils.

Taste Profile:A wine distinguished by its fruity character and elegance. On the nose, it reveals notes of fresh cherries and raspberries, inviting one to savour its aroma. Upon tasting, it feels light and fluid, with a finesse that lingers gently on the palate. This wine offers a delightful experience, ideal for those seeking an approachable red without sacrificing complexity or length.

Winemaking Process: After being harvested by hand, they are vinified with minimal intervention and native yeasts. Fermentation is carried out with whole bunches of grapes separately by plot in open oak vats, with gentle maceration for 45 days and without the use of pumping over or aggressive extractions. The wine is then aged for 10 months in 20 hl foudres and demijohns. It is bottled without filtering or clarifying.
