Grape Varietals & Region: This wine is made entirely from Sauvignon Blanc grapes, and is an excellent representation of the terroir of Sancerre. Les Coutones is a monopole owned by the Chotards, a steep parcel that sits on a subsoil of Kimmeridgian marl. This type of soil is referred to as Terres Amoureuses because of the way in which the mud lovingly sticks to the vignerons boots after a rain

Taste Profile: The nose is vibrant and expressive, with notes of citrus, green apple, and a hint of grassiness. On the palate, the wine is lively and refreshing, with a crisp acidity that balances out the flavors of lemon, grapefruit, and minerality.
