‘Fruktinger is a project with a good friend (Claus Preisinger) which aims to breakdown categories and to show that fermentation is so much more and wider than grapes, apples and vegetables.’ Fruktinger is a delicious blend of Saison brewed in Malm with Rocket Brewing, blended with wine and lees made by Claus. This is then topped up with fresh fermenting rhubarb juice that Karl, Mikael and their team harvested last year.
Based in central Malm, Sweden, Frukstereo is a collaboration between Karl Sjstrm & Mikael Nypelius, who both worked as sommeliers in fine dining throughout Scandinavia. Inspired by forward thinking friends, cider and natural wine producers, they decided to challenge the way wine and cider is perceived in the Nordic region.
With Fruktstereo, they want to create natural alcoholic beverages without additives, using sustainably grown Swedish produce without pesticides. Only the indigenous yeast in the fruit is used, with no manipulation that they do not see as natural.
