The origin of the fruit is Axelstorp a traditional orchard in northwest Skne. Planted in the 40s/60s and today managed without pesticides or herbicides by Magnus Fviken Nilsson. Quince from Martins garden in southern parts of Malm, one single tree planted 15 years ago. The fruit were partly skin macerated for 4 weeks. An aromatic and funky beverage that reminds us of more classic and oxidised ciders from the basque country with a tart and tangy finish perfect for pairing with grilled dishes like fish or vegetables.
Based in central Malm, Sweden, Frukstereo is a collaboration between Karl Sjstrm & Mikael Nypelius, who both worked as sommeliers in fine dining throughout Scandinavia. Inspired by forward thinking friends, cider and natural wine producers, they decided to challenge the way wine and cider is perceived in the Nordic region.
With Fruktstereo, they want to create natural alcoholic beverages without additives, using sustainably grown Swedish produce without pesticides. Only the indigenous yeast in the fruit is used, with no manipulation that they do not see as natural.
