The California Common uniquely uses lager yeasts at traditional ale temperatures, showing distinctive flavours with characteristics from both styles. The aroma of Hot Water State probably says lager, but delve in and youll get some spicy orange hop notes and a generous caramel malt base. Copious amounts of Citra, Cascade, Simcoe, Saaz and Hallertau Blanc offer intriguing variation in the hop profile.
