Laphroaig is a whisky from the Scottish island of Islay. The malt used for Islay whiskies is traditionally dried over a fire stoked with peat, the only fuel on the island. This gives the whisky its typical smoky medicinal aroma and flavour.
This taste and smell, together with hints of chocolate and coffee from the Imperial Stout, are also amply found in this beautiful Barrel Project.
