Famous as the red version of Sauv. Blanc in that it has introduced legions of people to wine through its neo-classical iteration from Argentina, but it started in France.


Malbec, originally from Cahors in France was known as Cot and was notorious for heavy, black wines that were undrinkable in youth. Argy Malbec changed the paradigm as a more fruit forward, drinkable wine emerged and conquered the world.
