Inspired by the official drink of Catalina Island, Buffalo Milk, we took our Weller bourbon barrel-aged wheatwine ale and treated it with bananas, cocoa, vanilla, and whole coffee beans to mimic the flavors in the iconic drink. Pat OBriens bar in New Orleans is home to more than just the iconic flaming fountain a towering display of fire and water its also the origin of the hurricane cocktail, the tropical delight which inspired this barrel-aged imperial sour ale. We added passion fruit, pomegranates, orange zest, dragon fruit, and limes for a bright, citrusy, tart treat.
