In 1978 Sammy Hagar wrote the song ‘I’ve Done Everything For You”, in 1981 he turned it over to his buddy RickSpringfiled and it became a huge hit. One night over some Beach Bar Rum mojitos Sammy asked Rick why he thought his version was so well received and he responded “Cause I’m better looking than you” . After a good laugh he told Sammy put my face on this rum and I’ll make that a hit too. Sammy acceptedthe challenge and their partnershipin Beach Bar Rum was born.
Tropical notes of banana and coconut
SAMMYS COCONUT MOJITO
INGREDIENTS:
1 oz. Sammys Beach Bar Rum
1 oz. Coconut cream
2 oz. Coconut water
1 teaspoon Brown Sugar
oz. fresh lime juice
1 oz. Soda water
6 to 8 Mint leaves
Toasted Coconut flakes on the rim
INSTRUCTIONS:
Add a little coconut cream on a plate and place the rim of the glass on it, then place the rim on the toasted coconut flakes. Muddle mint leaves, brown sugar, and lime juice . Fill with ice, then add Sammys Beach Bar Rum. Top with coconut water and a bit of coconut cream. Garnish with a mint sprig.
