The Talisker distillery was founded in 1830, Talisker is the only distillery on the Isle of Skye, giving it a “terroir” unlike any other scotch.On the nose, powerful peat-smoke balances with just a hint of the sea-water salt of fresh oysters, with a citrus sweetness. The palate offers rich dried-fruit sweetness, clouds of smoke, strong barley-malt flavours, warming and intense. Peppery at the back of the mouth, the finish is surprisingly light, with a moderate warmth that lingers.
