This beer is a blend of port barrel-aged barley wine and spontaneously fermented Old Tongham Tasty by Hogsback Brewery. The rich malt characteristics and layers of dark fruit remain close to the original whilst everything else is reimagined transforming this beer into an English interpretation of a traditional Flanders Red/Oud Bruin, alongside being an homage to the early days of the sour ale boom in California, Oregon and Michigan. Fruity, tart, sour and balsamic.
