Master Distiller Robert Fleming crafted this small batch bottling by specially selecting Tomintoul aged in exceptional ex-bourbon American oak barrels, later married and finished in hand-selected Tawny Port barriques from Portugal. The process of finishing creates a beautifully rich, complex and full-flavoured single malt Scotch whisky.
On the nose, indulgent berry fruits, bramble jam and dark chocolate are cushioned by nutmeg and cherry liqueur. The palate reveals a wash of blackcurrants, blueberries and Black Forest gateau bound with cosy oak spices and mocha coffee. The finish offers maraschino cherries and thick-cut marmalade, fading into a lingering warmth of clove and cinnamon.
