Tornatore Etna Rosso DOC Calderara 2019

Grape Varietals & Region:Nerello Mascalese & Nerello Cappuccio from the single vineyard site ofCalderara. Known as one of the top cru in Mt Etna with a unique type of soil a mixture of black pumice and basalt, the result of thousands of years of lava flows and volcanic deposits.

Taste Profile: A pristine expression of nerello mascalese from the northern part of Etna. It has a perfumed aroma, with notes of grapefruit, brambleberries, savory spices, wild herbs and flowers. Its also aromatic, harmonious, complex and poised.

Winemaking Process: Destemmed and macerated for 15-20 days in concrete tanks, with daily punching down. They are subsequently drawn off and pressed. The wine thus obtained is aged in wooden barrels for 18 months before being bottled.
