The Digital NZ series concludes with Track collabing with another hop grower-brewery duo from New Zealand – and what a duo!Freestyle Hops, from their two farms in Nelson, grow some of the finest hops this planet has to offer.

The double dry-hopping of this DDH IPA is spearheaded by Freestyle’s Mega Terps – a terpene-optimised Phantasm blend which presents itself as juicy pineapple and passionfruit. Riwaka, Motueka and Peacharine bring up the stern with sweet citrus, fleshy apricot and dank herbaceousness.

Freestyle’s cutting edge hop breeding programme is run in partnership with Garage Project, based in Aro Valley, Wellington. Since 2011, Pete and Ian Gillespie & Jos Ruffell have grown the brewery from 50 litre batches to the institution it is today, and this beer echoes their innovation, creativity and adventure.
