This was awarded ‘Irish Whiskey of the Year 2009’in Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible where he described itas one of the finest Madeira finishes he had evercome across. This is a single malt matured in bourbon and then finished in Madeira casks.
Nose: Light and fragrant with dried fruit and a touch of the exotic.
Taste: This has a rich yet silky smooth mouthfeel with flavours of creme caramel, malt, barley sugars, chocolate, toffees and pineapple.
Finish: A rich finish with Madeira showing through.
