Weingut A.J. Adam Dhroner Trocken 2024

Coming from Neumagen-Dhron, one of the oldest wine villages in Germany, A.J. Adam cultivates five hectares of vineyards in steep and steepest locations. These include the Dhroner Hofberg, the Dhroner Hs’chen – a site which is the sole property of the winery – and the VDP.Grosse Lage Piesporter Goldtropfchen

A tributary of the Mosel, it was famous in the 1950s & 60s, before a generation of Moslaners left their birthrights and many famous but small vineyards were left untended and became relics of the past.

Andreas Adam restarted the family estate in 2000, Andreas Adam is almost single-handedly responsible for bringing the Dhroner Hofberg back to its former status as one of the great Grand Crus of the Mosel

Grape Varietals & Region:100% Riesling from the Mosel, Germany. Coming from vineyards of an average age of 45 years from parcels across the Dhron town, planted on steep slopes on the sides of the river

Taste Profile:Charming aromas of ripe honey and creamy touches. It is a charming wine that is thin, tense and vibrant at the beginning and with a mid-palate where more exotic fruits and white stone fruit predominate. In general terms, it is a calm and accessible wine

Winemaking Process:Once pressed, the must is vinified, half in stainless steel tanks and the other half in Fuder, large traditional oak barrels. The wine undergoes a light aging on lees of about five months – a process that gives it a little smoothness and creaminess
