Wild Turkey Longbranch is a smooth, approachable bourbon crafted for easy sippingnot bold complexity. A collaboration between Wild Turkeys Eddie Russell and actor Matthew McConaughey, its charcoalfiltered with Texas mesquite to add a subtle smoky sweetness. With its gentle spice and dessert-like notes, its ideal for bourbon newcomers or fans of mellow, everyday pours
Developed jointly by Wild Turkey Master Distiller Eddie Russell and McConaughey as a KentuckyTexas fusion.
Bottled at 86 proof (43% ABV) with a suggested 8-year age. After aging, the whiskey undergoes dual charcoal filtrationfirst with white American oak, then Texas mesquitefor texture and smoothed flavor.
Gentle and inviting: caramel, vanilla, and brown sugar lead, softened by honey, orange peel, and light baking spices like nutmeg. A wisp of mesquite smoke and oak char underpins the sweetness.
Lighter-bodied with a silky mouthfeel: flavors of cream soda, orange zest, corn sweetness, and honey emerge first. The taste transitions quickly between sweet and soft mesquite smoke.
A softly spiced close: cinnamon, oak, and smoke linger briefly before fading. The finish is clean and mild, lacking deep tannic drive.
“What if Kentucky took a roadtrip to Texas and introduced its very own small batch bourbon to some Texas mesquite. What if those two became best friends in a bottle a small batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon, refined with American Oak and mesquite charcoals. You might think thats a long way from home for a Kentucky straight bourbon, and youd be right. But turning a what if into a thats it can be pretty tasty.”
“Mellow aromas of maple, vanilla and a hint of dried cherry entice. The palate echoes those flavors, bringing in a light flurry of clove and cinnamon spice. Adding water softens the profile to vanilla cookie dough flavor, sprinkled with ginger and allspice. It was filtered through Texas mesquite charcoal. ” Wine Enthusiast 92 Points
