Vermentino is most closely associated with Italy and is grown across a number of areas including Liguria, Sardinia, and piedmont. The variety also exists under various synonyms in other winemaking countries such as France. Vermentino shows good tolerance of warm climates and is well suited to several regions of Western Australia. The grapes for this Vermentino are grown in Mt Barker on a steep south facing slope with warm days but cold nights producing a wine with fresh acidity and lightness of frame but with good flavour.
COLOUR:The wine displays pale green tinges.
NOSE:Fresh aromatic floral aromas on the nose.
PALATE: Limes and citrus with a hint of pineapple with zingy fresh crisp acidity. Lip smacking!
